 "Love this Product!" 2010-01-27
By James P. Madigan III (Washington, DC USA)
I absolutely love this Denon Unit. It has every feature possible in a CD/Radio/WiFi connected device. It sounds awesome ... better than the Bose unit that I own. Quality is top notch and the unit is substantial (heavy for its size). Highly recommended.

"Swiss Army Knife of Radios" 2010-01-09
By A. Ioannides (Park City, UT USA)
When my oldest daughter turned 13 I got her a shelf stereo that she has enjoyed for years. Great sound, mutli CD player and easy to use. Three years later I wanted to get the same stereo for my youngest daughter when she turned 13, but the system I purchased before was not available. A quick review of compact systems revealed that the landscape had dramatically changed, and I could not find the quality sound I was looking for.

A little background, I'm one of those people that thinks records sound better than CDs and have no problem investing thousands of dollars on a turntable tone arm. Yes, I'm one of those audiophile crazy freaks.

Knowing that Denon used to pair up with Mission to produce a nice component system, I started researching and found the tabletop radios. I have always been turned off by the tabletop radios because of the Bose. Personally, I believe Bose has one of the best marketing departments in the business, but the sound is less than what I would like to see in that price range.

I like the idea of HD radio, iPod Doc, Internet Radio and USB all in one unit. I know that Denon knows quality sound do I decided to give the unit a try. I was pleasantly surprised.

The S-52 is built well and looks nice on a table. It is large, but with all of the features included, I can understand the big footprint. When I turned the unit on, it found my wireless network and automatically updated the firmware.

The first thing I did was tune in an FM radio station. We live in the Rocky Mountains and getting FM reception is always a problem, but this unit picks up more FM stations than any other unit in the house and once it switches to HD, the sound quality is excellent.

I've never been a huge fan of the sound quality of Internet Radio, but this unit seems to use filters to make them sound good, real good. Once you find an internet radio station you like, simply add it to our favorites (this works for AM and FM as well) and you can easily access it in the future.

The iPod integration is also very good. Supporting my iPod and iTouch with no problems. And once again the sound quality is excellent. I like that fact that I can use the remote to skip songs and change the volume.

This was not the easiest unit to setup. And thus the 4 star rating. The interface was designed from the perspective of the source content and not from the perspective of the end user. Once it is setup, my 13-year-old daughter had no problems setting the alarm(s), finding favorites and playing her iTouch.

The WiFi reception is Excellent. The radio connects in rooms where our HP and Apple Laptops will not. That was a pleasant surprise. I was prepared to run Ethernet to her room, but the radio connects with no problems.

One problem, I like keeping my digital library in MP4 format because of the better sound quality of the new codec. The S-52 does not support MP4, it does support MP3, ACC and most other common formats, jut not the one I like to use. It did connect to my Windows Media library quickly but no joy because of my format choice. I do wish the unit would connect to iTunes library and don't understand why that would not be included as a feature. I would think more folks would use iTunes than Windows Media. I'm strange in that I use Windows Media Player and iTunes to access the same library. Maybe Denon will provide MP4 and iTunes functionality in a future firmware upgrade.

Having listed to other radios, I can see no reason why anyone would purchase the Bose or any other radio in this price range. In fact, I liked the radio so much, we how have a second one in my bedroom.

 "Great all in one" 2009-12-18
By Pedro G. Janowitzer (Boston, USA)
Finally a true all in one sound system! This thing has all sources you need (ipod, aux, interner radio, USB, xm radio, CD and computer). The sound quality is very decent and I only wish that it would have connectivity with Macs but unfortunatelly it will only stream music from PCs.

Overall I highly reccomended purchase for those looking for a all in one.

"Wide range of features but not for the inexperienced or inept" 2009-12-11
By Maxwell Johnson (Orlando,, FL, USA)
I selected the Denon S-52 because of its extraordinarily broad feature set and despite its relatively high price. It offers AM, FM, and HD radio, CD capability, wired or wireless internet radio, Rhapsody, and playback from a PC or USB storage device, as well as satellite radio compatibility. This range of inputs in a tabletop system is unique in the American marketplace at this time.

Let me address a couple of the most discussed issues related to the S-52 and then wrap up with a quick summary. I'll try not to repeat too much of the material covered by other reviewers.

First, sound quality. I note for the record that I am a professional musician with excellent ears and a very high quality home sound system. Judged by that standard, the S-52 does not produce sound of extraordinary quality. It has substantial bass boost and the mid and upper ranges are forward and brilliant, tending toward harsh in a few instances. This choice was made, I suspect, to increase competitiveness with the various Bose systems that many consider to represent audio excellence. Those who hold the Bose sound in high esteem will likely find the S-52 sound familiar and satisfying. Those who adhere to a higher standard of reproduction will be disappointed if they compare the S-52 to a quality audiophile system.

But...how many people listen to a table radio with the critical attention that they bring to their music room or to the concert hall? If this is your sole music source, and you are a discriminating listener, you may want to invest in better sonic performance. But if you will use the S-52 in your kitchen or office or out on your deck, as I suspect most will, the sound is just fine. As noted above, if Bose defines audio excellence in your ears, you may be pleased with the S-52 in any setting.

Second, ease of connection to the internet/general software usability. In this area, I align myself with those who conclude that Denon has stumbled in their software design. This is not the easiest system to set up, especially for routers that require manual entry of addresses. Persons lacking experience and/or intrepitude (Is there such a word? If not, there should be.) may find the setup process frustrating and tedious. My advice is to take a few deep breaths, read the manual closely, and follow the steps carefully. If that fails, consult the nearest teenage gamer, who will efficiently, if perhaps patronizingly, take the necessary steps on your behalf. I do not say this in a condescending manner; those of us who have earned some gray hairs did not grow up with this stuff and we do not take it for granted as our children and grandchildren do.

Now the summary. This is a quality product from a solid mid-range audio manufacturer. Appearance is unobtrusive and attractive without being trendy. Materials are substantial and build quality is excellent. Feature range is extraordinary. Everything works as described. Subject to the caveats above, the sound quality should satisfy most users. Those who are unsatisfied probably need to consider a different level of hardware altogether. Software setup can be challenging for the inexperienced. The price is high but, if you insist on the full range of inputs, there is nothing out there that is cheaper and all-in-one-box. You could cobble something together that would do all these things but the price would likely be just as high, the aesthetics less pleasing, and the overall quality no better.

I give the Denon S-52 a qualified positive recommendation. As always, you should look before you leap. I think most buyers will be well pleased.

"Left out the most important part" 2009-11-29
By Brian Schilling (Battle Creek, MI USA)
I recently purchased the Denon S-52 during an Amazon lighting deal and was pleased with the purchase price of $349. Spec wise, the Denon S-52 has everything I was looking for, wifi enabled, cd player, ipod dock, radio, and a small form factor, with the wifi being the key feature. I found the setup to be fairly simple, including setting up the wifi access. Yes, the character input can be tedious but it's far from complicated. After a quick firmware update via the available option in the menu I quickly connected to an internet radio station with high expectations. The radio connected without flaw and soon was playing some random bluegrass station I choose, however, with lackluster audio quality. Chalking the audio quality up to a poor streaming radio station I plugged my iPod into the dock and switched the source over with hopes that the audio quality would be vastly superior to the internet radio, it was not. Surely streaming a mp3 from my laptop would sound better, it didn't. Well then, at least I can rely on a cd to produce that rich sound (of which can be expected for a small form factor, $350 radio) I had desired with this purchase. It too failed to impress.

While Denon managed to squeeze a ton of functionality into this small unit they failed to produce a sound worthy of all that functionality and price. Needless to say, the Denon S-52 has already been boxed up and is awaiting return to Amazon. While I have to pay shipping (~$16) to return this product (received free shipping from Amazon) I'm happy in knowing that I'm saving $333 from a potentially costly mistake with this purchase.

I can say whole-heartedly this product was a huge disappointment and would not recommend it to any buyer who is seeking sound quality better than loud laptop speakers (which is what my wife compared the sound to).

"What you need to know" 2010-01-26
By H. Guesmia (McKinney TX)
Watch out!:

1- You cannot watch movies thru USB (only pix and mp3).

2- There is not one single audio out (in case the kids are sleeping and you want to use the headphones).

3- You will need to purchase a wireless bridge (> $60.00) for the internet in case you cannot use ethernet cables.

4- The 4 screws to hold the towers are not supplied (too expensive for LG!).

Bottom line, you can get a better system for the same price or less.

 "Great Product....but not flawless...." 2010-01-22
By J. Klein
This is a Great Product. I purchased it based on the reviews posted here on Amazon. Easy Setup, simple controls, loads of features are all bonuses with this system......BUT there are a couple of minor things.....I would have loved to have seen more inputs! Maybe (1) RCA and (1) Component Input would have really made this system Superb! I have my ATT UVerse receiver in HDMI Input #1 but where do I plug in the Nintendo Wii?? There is no way to do it....and that is a problem because now the Wii is on a separate TV input with the sound from the TV speakers. As far as the Netflix, Cinema Now and other internet features....these are great and they all came alive with minimal setup. But (this has nothing to do with LG) the Netflix and CinemaNow are still in their infancy and do not offer alot of titles....especially Netflix. Overall, a very good system with great sound and very easy to use. Also, almost forgot, the IPOD dock is an excellent little feature and worked flawlessly.

"Love it - the streaming HD Netflix is amazing" 2010-01-20
By Geode (Ca, USA)
I plugged it in and it just worked. No setup at all. I did not use the wireless. In fact the manual discourages wireless connectivity. The streaming Netflix is a game changer. It streams in HD (looks like it adjusts to the connection?). Not all Netflix content is HD, but plenty to choose from. I was really impressed. The netflix movies never paused and were beautiful in HD on my new LG 60' plasma. The sound was really nice as well. The front tower looking speakers make the upgrade from the lg 953. These front speakers look small in the pic, but they stand about 4 ft tall and put out some nice sound.

 "Garbage" 2010-01-24
By Steph (California)
This system works ok for a while, but we had it break twice in about a year. The first time, we sent it back to the manufacturer for repair(under warranty). Now, it won't recognize DVDs. If it had enough inputs, I could work around the problem. Unfortunately, it has the bare minimum. I only gave it two stars because it did actually work for a while and when it did, it was pretty good.

 "Love it!" 2010-01-09
By Melissa Bolt
I purchased this system for my husband for Christmas. He was able to set it all up fairly easily. We did need to purchase another HDMI cable and longer speaker wires (the wires that came with the box were rather short for the back speakers). We live in a town home. The sound is great! This system made a huge difference in TV and Video watching. The DVD/CD player is also good. Everything is very easy to use. We were able to hook the system up to the TV, DVD player and Netflix (Roku) and our Ipod so now all of our equipment can be viewed/listened to with surround sound. I would strongly recommend this product.

I tried 3 hours to hook this stupid thing up and after going back to Best buy they told me I had to ALSO purchase a optical cable (30.00-50.00), they never told my wife that when she picked this out for a gift for me.

Brought the cable home , hooked it up like the kid said and I was still frustrated in the whole set up. Wires all over, directions suck!

Unless you can tackle these electronic hook ups real good stay away...

I guess my Tv sounds fine without all this "extra" frustration...

"All good except DVD reliability" 2009-08-05
By Steven M. Klein (Lincoln, NE)
Have shipped unit into repair twice because DVD player quit working. Worked out of the box new for only two months. After being repaired it worked less than one month before failing again in the exact same way. Still waiting for its return, hopefully Samsung repairs it right this 2nd time around. With no local repair available, and at $29 to ship into repair, the 3rd repair, if necessary, will exceed the value of the unit as I currently consider it.

 "Great system" 2009-10-27

I just had to leave a review on this system, especially if you have a Samsung HDTV for your television, If you want the big theater enjoyment with the big theater sound, you can't go wrong with the purchase of this system. One thing I really enjoy about this system was I was able to up grade to a Blue Ray DVD and connected it to this system with now the pleasure of DVD and Blue ray without compromising the great big theater sound. I love this system and have nothing but good thing to reply about it. Purcahse it for yourself and start enjoying the big theater sound, you will love it even more with a Samsung 52 inch HDTV, and Samsung Blue Ray DVD player. It keeps me from using so many remote controls. Just one controls everything! Let me add something else, with the purchase of the Blue ray DVD player I'm able to obtain NetFlex video's direct through the internet and Pandora music as well through this system. Your rear speaker are connected wireless so you don't need to run addition wire to them. Overall you will enjoy how much enjoyment you will have out of this little great system. I just love it!

 "No HDMI Input" 2008-12-15
By NapaGuy (Jackson, MI)
The description states that this unit has both HDMI input and output. However, it only has HDMI output.

Also, the unit arrived without the wireless card. A quick call to Samsun and their customer service had one on the way. It is not here yet, so we will see how the wireless speakers work once they arrive.

You might want to consider replacing the speakerwire that comes with the unit for the front speakers. The rear speaker wires can not be replace with a better cables due to the special connectors needed (unless you want to do some surgery...)

I am still trying to decide if I should return the unit since it does not have an HDMI in. It will depend upon how well the opical audio in cable works. If I still can not pump the sound from our Samsung HD TV (LN52A75) to this unit, then I will most likely have to return it.

"A Sound System to Remember" 2009-12-31
By Joshua Anderson (Fort Bliss, TX)
Being here in South Korea on deployment I needed a sound system when I first got to Korea. I searched around for a month or so and I went to check out the Korean systems at the Korean stores. I was out-of-luck until I found this one sitting on the shelf at the BX. It was awesome. I heard it and I was like damn this thing sounds great. I've had expensive systems in the past before I joined the military and this one is excellent. It hooks up to my Sony TV, XBOX 360 and I string a long Audio cable to hook up to my mac to listen to music. I can turn the TV and Audio system on with a touch of a button or I can hit the DVD button and it will go right to the XBOX 360 with the sound after I turn the XBOX on of course. The system is life like when I'm playing Modern Warfare 2 and I can hear the people sneaking up on my on multi player mode with this system. The only downfall to this system in my eyes is that you can't adjust the BASS on the Subwoofer?! Come on Sony for me paying almost 400 dollars for this system and me not being able to adjust the Bass is crazy! This system should of came with that feature. Other then that you can have 8 sources plugged into this thing at once and have HDMI which is awesome. You can control the TV with the remote if you have a Sony TV and control your DVD or Blu-Ray player with the remote too. Overall a great system for someone looking for a easy to use sound system.

 "Warranty is Useless" 2009-11-18
By Bob (Ohio)
I've owned this unit for a little less than a year. I began having distortion problems with the subwoofer about a month ago. I hooked up a neighbor's subwoofer to the system and it worked fine. I contacted Sony and learned the product had to be shipped to Texas at my expense for warranty repairs. I boxed up the subwoofer, attached a note explaining the problem including that another subwoofer worked fine, and shipped it to Texas. A week later I get it back with a note reading, "Sony Needs the Complete Unit" taped to the subwoofer. No one even bothered to read the note I had sent. It's apparent Sony wants to discourage warranty repairs by not making repair facilities available nationwide. I've owned a lot of Sony products in the past. I won't be buying Sony anymore.

 "My Only Complaint Is..." 2009-11-16
By Joseph Stampfl (New York)
... that it "only" has HDMI inputs. I know I should have caught this when researching the item (clearly shown in the image of the back of the unit), but I didn't. It's odd to me that even though HDMI is the ideal setup (at the moment) that the unit doesn't have at least a few regular RCA inputs. There are so many things out there that are still viable components that don't have HDMI built in. Other than that, we really like our setup. We have a 42" commercial grade Panasonic Plasma and this stereo in a 8ft X 11ft TV room. I have yet to get into the fine tuning, but I do wish the vocals in the center channel were louder. My wife and I must be hard of hearing because most of the time we can't understand what they are saying - we've tried all the different preset settings. The explosions we hear just fine ;-)

"The best $300 I have ever spent!!" 2009-11-06
By Christopher C. Jones
I spent about six months researching sound systems. I stumbled upon this one pretty early on and never found another system that could compete with it. Now I've had the system for about a year. In that time I've played hours of PS3 on it, watched about 200 movies (about have bluray half DVD) and I am absolutely convinced that it is the best $300 that I have ever spent.

Features- There plenty of systems out there that cost $1000 and don't have the features this unit does. The auto tune works very well, but I manually tune the system depending on the movie and where everyone in the room is sitting. The HDMI input are a HUGE advantage with this system. When I was doing my research no other system in this price range offered the HDMI capabilities of this unit. The 3 HDMI in and one out, makes this super easy to hook up to all your devices. I have my PS3, 360, and satellite/DVR going into the receiver. The HDMI out goes into my TV (KDS-R60XBR1). I have the PS3 bluray set to output the sound in bitstream, and this allows the ss 2300 to decode the sound rather than the PS3. All you have to do is set the unit on auto and it will decode whatever sound format you give it. The color coded wires were nice. The FM/AM tuner is awesome.

Sound quality- is awesome! After I installed the ss 2300 I was watching some football and listening to the commentators talk. I had the TV remote in one hand and the ss 2300 remote in the other. I always thought my TV (KDS-R60XBR1) sound was pretty high quality until I compared the two. After muting the ss 2300 and listening to TV sound, it seemed like the commentators were literally speaking through a pillow, or at least a really thick blanket. With the TV volume muted and all the sound coming from the ss 2300 the commentator voices were crystal clear. It sounded like they were in the room with me. The difference in sound quality is unbelievable.

Loudness- 1000 watts. Need I say more? This thing is loud! The room I have it in is 18 ft long and 24ft wide with a high vaulted ceiling (upstairs gameroom). I like the volume louder than most people and the highest I have ever watched a movie was volume 28 (max is 40). 90% of movies I watch the volume is set between 18 and 24. This system shakes the walls and the floor! At volume 24 you can hear most movies from outside the house. I think my close friend described it best when I asked how he liked the sound system and he said "It was awesome, I could feel it in my chest!"

Appearance- This unit looks 10000000 times better than all the other sound systems I've looked at. The receiver is nice and slim. All the other receivers are huge and ugly. Receivers today look exactly the same as sound receivers from the 80's, except for this one! This receiver looks so futuristic compared to the rest. When I first got it I was worried that since it was so slim and compact (about 1/3 the height of other receivers) it would have problems over heating. I am glad to report there are no heat issues and this receiver. It remains nice and cool even after hours of use. The speakers also look really nice. They are small enough to hide and friends won't notice them, but they are big enough to put out a full range of sound. I love how all the speakers say Sony on them. This looks just like (size and appearance) Sony bluray players! So if you have a Sony set up it will match very nicely. The receiver and speakers are all very high quality and look much better than the competition.

Install- Super easy. 3 HDMI's in, one out. One color coded wire to each speaker. I went to Fry's and got a set of universal wall mounts for all the speakers and it worked very well. Wires are nice and small, easy to hide.

Sub woofer- This is the only part of the SS 2300 that I do not like. The sub woofer is very loud and will shake the walls, but I don't think it provides a very full range of sound. All the sound coming from the sub sounds the same. Its kind of a dull sound. I noticed the sub is a lot lighter (weight) than my previous sub. I don't know much about passive/active. Maybe all passive subs have this problem.

Compared to my other systems- In 1998 I got a top of the line Bose 5.1 system. It was very loud. But very complicated to install, very had to tune, and didn't have many features. In 2005 I got a Sony virtual surround 3.1 system. It was $800. I was very disappointed because no matter what they say 3.1 DOES NOT EQUAL 5.1!!! It did not sound like surround sound at all. The system was very high quality but it was not as immersing as a true 5.1 system. The ss-2300 is easily better than my previous systems. It is a true surround sound and makes you feel like you are in the middle of the action. The sub on my bose and 3.1 was better than the sub on the ss2300, but all the other aspects of the 2300 easily outweigh that one flaw. The ss2300 is also much easier to use than other other 2 systems.

Final Verdict- This system is highest quality available in its price range and beyond. It is very loud even at half volume. It looks much nicer than the competition. It has a huge amount of features. If you are looking for an awesome surround sound to bring together your cable, bluray, and gaming systems, look no further!!

 "Works great" 2010-01-24
By Randy Rishel (Parachute, CO USA)
I ordered this product for a Samsung 46" LED TV, plugged it in set it up on my network and it was working in 5 minutes at the most. I must also say that the carrier that delivered this item left it out at my mailbox where someone helped them self to it an left a empty plastic bag. I called the carrier to report it and was told I had to take it up with Amazon! Which I did, And was sent a replacement at no charge within 2 days with no further problems.

I had a chumby give up the ghost and decided to disassemble the chumby and harvest parts, I know the chumby had a wireless usb adapter ... This one [...] I took it out and y pluged it into my b640 55inch lcd I purchased at bestbuy.. and surprise it allowed me to set up the wireless networking settings.. perhaps those of you with these tvs and blu ray players would like a alternative that works like mine did.

 "Well worth it......" 2010-01-21
By ArquitectaNYC (New York, NY USA)
I purchased this wireless LAN adapter for my Samsung UN46B8000 46-Inch 1080p 240Hz LED HDTV which has internet capabilities. Connecting this adapter was beyond easy and setting the t.v. up took no time. I'm now able to access YouTube clips, news, weather, etc. with ease and super fast. I would definitely recommend this adapter to anyone who wants to get the most out of their Samsung HDTV. Please note, purchasing this adapter will not give you the option to surf the internet, it simply allows you to access "Yahoo Widgets" such as Blockbuster (rent/buy movies), YouTube, News, Weather, Finance News, etc. In addition, you will need a wireless router or cable modem for this to work.

 "EXCELLENT SYSTEM" 2010-01-16
By Cliff (Virginia Beach)
It was easy to set-up, just took my time and followed the directions. The bass doesn't shake the walls, although I guess if it was turned up loud enough it would. I thought my Samsung TV had great sound, but after installing this I learned what a great sound is. I'm glad I got this 500 watt system, the newer 100 watt system would have been to much for me.

Blu-ray DVDs look exceptional. The DVD player also upgrades regular DVDs to near HD. They look good also. Depending on the DVD they look as good as the Blu-ray.

I particularly liked the wireless rear speakers. Although there is a rear amp with two sets of speaker wires, it sure beats having to run wires fron the front system to the rear. I have the rear amp/receiver setting behind a chair and the signal is still strong. No problems with over the air reception.

I highly recommend this system.

"Great sound. Definitely not worth more than a half grand." 2010-01-13
By Tony R. Matthews (Richmond, VA)
This is a great sound system. I got it free with the purchase of my bravia. The wireless back speakers are amazing. The speaker setup was not easy. I watched dark knight immediately after the using the easy equalizer. The sound overwhelmed the dialogue and it ruined the first half of the movie until i manually changed it. So i would not recommend doing auto setup. I have used several systems before..pioneer, bose, and samsung.. and this stands out because it plays blu-ray and plays an ipod. A lot of people complain about how you have to manually control the ipod. Playing with the ipod rather than scrolling slowly on a tv is simpler as everyone knows how to use an ipod. Sound quality is astounding. It's just frustrating that sony uses 6ohms for their base instead of standard 8ohms (so adding klipsch or other speakers is out of the question) but i guess thats how proprietary systems work. The system has BD-LIVE so it has been updating itself here and there. Blu-rays take on average 30-45 seconds to load, which is around standard timing for this new technology. Player has bravia sync which is easy and completely reliable. Controlling your tv and sound with one remote is now possible without the use of a logitech harmony remote. Overall, I'm glad i got it for free. I definitely wouldn't pay the retail 700 dollars for it, but I believe the 500 is a good deal. IF you have any questions...feel free to ask away.

 "professional opinion" 2010-01-11
By J. Morgan (Santa Rosa, CA USA)
As an audio video technician with nearly ten years experience in home theater installation and programming, I would recommend this product based on it's performance. The surround sound experience that Sony delivers with this product is extremely satisfying! I have had systems consisting of thousands of dollars that didn't deliver the enveloping movie watching experience this product does. Since Sony makes the each piece of the system, they control exactly what you get. I'm not saying that it's as feature rich or customizable as a custom home theater made up of separate components...but for what this unit does, it does it great! I must complain about the iPod dock though, it does not pull meta data from the iPod (meaning the info on your iPod doesn't show up on your TV) so you have to control the iPod manually. I would have expected the meta data functionality at this price, for $800 full retail price Sony should give you this. Finally, the limits of the system can be easily overcome by purchasing an optical switch so you can hook up all your stuff to surround sound.

"Excellent System for the Price" 2010-01-02
By Sunshine (Atlanta, Ga)
I researched Home Theater Systems for 6 months and found the ratings on every system with wireless speakers to be across the board from good to bad. This included this manufacturer as well. I ended up buying this particular system based on customer feedback and the price. I am so glad I did! The setup was easy and the sound quality is excellent. The wireless speakers work great. It does take some time to absorb all the systems features and how to navigate with the remote but once you figure it out it's a breeze. I highly recommend this product.

 "Couldn't be more pleased" 2009-12-09
By Ohh Bart (N. Fort Myers)
I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of install. Having read reviews of so many systems taking hours to synch and get right, this took 20 minutes and I'm not an audiophile . . . but I do follow directions. The sound is incredible and the BluRay far exceeds my expectations. We matched this with a 46" LCD HD TV and are blown away. We've tried several surround sounds systems over the years and find this home theater package better in sound. The wireless surround system sounds great but it really isn't wireless . . . there are still speaker wires from the wireless receiver to disguise, but not running wires under the carpet is worth it. Can you tell? I recommend it.Sony BDVE500W 5.1-Channel High-Definition Blu-ray Disc Player/DVD Disc Home theater System (Black)
